HW2025 – Oral Health will address the central question of “What is the right number and mix in the oral health workforce to best meet changing demographic and policy requirements to 2025?” This question will be addressed through the process of health workforce planning. In the context of the plan, health workforce planning is the process of estimating the right number in the oral health workforce with the right skills and skill-mix, and in the right place at the right time, to meet future service requirements. This will also reflect the current issues and policy levers that have an effect on the workforce.
