Hours are for Mondays & Wednesdays from 8am until 6pm and Thursdays from 1pm or 3:30pm (i.e. alternating weeks) until 8pm.

Preventistry is a busy solo practice with an emphasis on prevention and comprehensive dental care. A radiography licence is essential and D4W experience a benefit. However new graduates would be welcomed.

The Indigenous Wellbeing Centre has a position available in Bundaberg for a dental hygienist / oral health therapist

Positions:
The IWC aims to improve the "Oral" health and wellbeing of Indigenous peoples, by providing a dental services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people either at risk of or with a chronic/complex disease/condition. The Dental Clinic will operate from the IWC main centre in Bundaberg.

The dental hygienist / oral health therapist will work within a team environment, a supervising dentist and supported by a dental assistant, with a clinic operating from the IWC main centre in Bundaberg.

Description:
The role will encompass a range of initiatives, being responsible for facilitating/conducting/providing:

Health Promotion - client/staff education and awareness and client screening clinics
Clinical - client referrals, assessments and treatment in line with skills/qualifications
Quality Assurance – policy/procedures and ethical standards are adhered to.
Provision of advice to IWC Professional Management Team (PMT) in relation to allocation of staff/resources and delivery of clinical/services/programs.
Ensure that service models sufficiently meet stakeholder needs in conjunction with “Best Practice” standards.
Actively participate in supervision with the dentist, as required.

Salaries:
Negotiable, from $65K to $80K dependent upon qualifications/experience. IWC has additional salary sacrifice benefits.

We are currently seeking a dental hygienist / oral health therapist to join our busy, growing practice in Bundaberg. A full-time position within our newly renovated practice is available for early next year. Modern computerised surgeries including all the latest equipment.

We currently now have 1 dentist and 1 dental hygienist who are supported by a team of excellent support staff. The practice is dedicated to excellent patient care and encourages ongoing hygiene education within the established hygiene department and also professional development.

The position is suitable to a dental hygienist / oral health therapist who is highly motivated, caring and passionate about preventive care.
