DHAAQ is proud to present Dr Andres Orozco and Dr Anne-Maree Cole as guest speakers for the upcoming half-day seminar on March 17th 2012.
Dr Andres Orozco
Dr Orozco completed his specialist training in Periodontics at the University of Queensland in 2006. Prior to this, he also completed his Masters degree in Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine in Chile in 1994.
Continuing the theme of “Early Intervention- When Does It Help?,” Dr Orozco will be discussing the sometimes largely ignored topic of gingival recession. His presentation will cover causal and underlying factors, current philosophies and recommended treatment protocols.
Dr Orozco has published several research papers and lectured nationally and internationally. Dr Orozco is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, he is also a member of the Australian Society of Periodontology, Australasian Osseointegration Society, Australian Dental Association and Australian and New Zealand Academy of Periodontists. He teaches at the University of Queensland Dental School, as a visiting periodontist and works in private periodontic practice in Indooroopilly.

Dr Anne-Maree Cole
Dr Anne-Maree Cole graduated from the University of Queensland with honors in 1982. She has been in private practice with her husband Andrew since 1983 and has always had a keen interest in continuing education. For many years she was a clinical tutor at the University of Qld and was on the Scientific Committee for the ADA Congress in Brisbane 2001. She is a former President of the Australian Society of Periodontology (Qld branch) and is on the board of Directors of the IACA.
She is a graduate of the prestigious LVI Global, the world’s premier post-graduate dental training institute, located in the United States. Her expertise covers three areas of dentistry: Aesthetic, Neuromuscular and Wellness.
Anne-Maree started her neuromuscular/TMD journey in the year 2000 having now completed in excess of 20 courses at LVI. She has lectured nationally and internationally. She has been an LVI instructor since 2003 and is a Master of the Institute, having been awarded the LVIM (masters) in 2006. Anne-Maree is passionate about her profession and the opportunity to share this knowledge and passion with her fellow dental professionals is a powerful motivator for her. She is the Director of LVI Australia. In addition, Anne-Maree has been a national finalist in the Telstra Business Women's awards.”
