Dear Dental Colleague,

Close your eyes for a moment, feel the moisture running over your face, take a wide stroke with both arms pushing to your side, then open your eyes to see the bright rays of light streaming through the top layer of water as you break the surface to take a breath of fresh air!  After nearly five minutes of underwater sifting and playful dives, the platypus also must rise to the surface for that same feeling.

Against this backdrop, the Dental Hygienists’ Association of Australia Inc. Queensland Branch (DHAAQ) invites you to join our Hygiene Horizons 2009 Conference on Saturday 18 July 2009 at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards. Our theme ‘A Breath of Fresh Air’ is intended to give colleagues an opportunity to hear from international speaker Trisha O'Hehir, whose full day presentation will focus on evidence-based hygiene topics and applied learning.

Hygiene Horizons 2009 will also include a celebration of our professional development with true Queenslander hospitality. A Christmas-in-July theme is planned to compliment the typical pub style dinner and live entertainment at the local Canungra Hotel. A simple 4 minute drive from the day venue, it is sure to be a convenient way to celebrate for hours!

This conference will not only offer a valuable learning experience for all participants, but also a wonderful social experience in networking, camaraderie, building professional relationships and an opportunity to take in the fresh air of the Queensland Hinterlands. The area offers a great variety of attractions that could easily fill a long weekend of pure bliss.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers!
